Holistic Clinic for Horse & Rider: EachÊparticipantÊÊwillÊexperienceÊa Rider's Awareness and Centered Riding lesson from Susan Kelley , Level 2 CR instructor and Reiki practioner. Susan is assistedÊby Suzi Colman, Licensed Massage therapist, RN.Êwho helps identify restrictions in the rider's body, then tailoring NM re-patterning exercises for each rider on and off the horse. Afterwards the horse will receive some fantastic Therapeutic Body Work with Terry Crisafulli,Êour licensed Vet Tech Certified Equine Massage TherapistÊÊthru Equine Massage which will soften the muscle & release any knots, spasms or tensions the horse is holding resulting in better range of motion & enhanced performance. GVRDC XC schooling at horse trials grounds from 3 - 7:30 pm. Cost is $35 for GVRDC or PC members and $40 for everyone else. Membership forms will be available at sign in to receive discount if you are not a GVRDC member. Must be accompanied by an adult, no schooling alone. USEA medical armbands, approved helmets and safety vests are required. Please park in Minor's field (near Hideaway stabling) off Roots Tavern Rd. Access to course will be different this year as Hideaway field will be being hayed. Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteers are needed to collect $$ and waivers for the XC schooling. Gentle Dove Farm and Canandaigua Equestrian Center proudly announce our Happiness House TRAIL TRIAL! Put your trail experience to work in this low-key competition! Proceeds will benefit Happiness House, which offers programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. A Trail Trial consists of an un-timed ride with 6-10 judged obstacles that appear along a trail of several miles. There is a judge at each obstacle that compares the way the horse and rider meet the obstacle with a standard. Riders are judged on their skills and abilities to guide their horses through the obstacle course. There are no time requirements and the participant is only judged while negotiating obstacles, with the pace of the trail ride at the choice of the rider. Come join us with your horse, get lots of pledges to help Happiness House, and enjoy trails through fields, up hills, and through woods, while negotiating fun Trail Trial obstacles! Pre-registration is required. Sign up early as the Happiness House Trail Trial will be limited to the first hundred entries! Have a great ride for a great cause! Come watch for FREE.
